UPDATE 11/3 at 6.20pm

Due to the Government’s decision to stop gatherings of more than 500 people, today WE ARE ONE CHURCH decided to limit the number of people on our Religious Services until new directives are issued. This will be done with careful count of visitors at the entrances to our church. We refer to previous information for details regarding hygiene and recommendations from authorities.
WAO groups are recommended to primarily attend the meetings they serve on a voluntary basis or the services for which their affiliated networks are responsible. Contact your leader for more information.
Services on Fridays at 7pm and Sundays at 10am can be followed LIVE as usual at www.waoplay.com

INFORMATION ON THE NEW CORONA VIRUS (COVID-19)

Due to the recent development of the corona virus, we would like to inform that WE ARE ONE CHURCH with churches around Sweden are following the recommendations of the Folkhälsomyndigheten on how the corona virus should be handled.
It is important to access information from secure sources and follow the instructions given by the government. At Folkhälsomyndigheten you can find general information, questions and answers, risk level and follow the spread. We encourage you to read the necessary information www.folkhalsomyndighet.se/covid-19
If you feel well, according to krisinformation.se, you do not need to contact health care, even if you have been in an area where people have become ill from the coronavirus. However, we urge you not to visit our services and instead follow us online at www.waoplay.com if you have traveled to these countries, out of respect for other people.
Read more about how and when you should contact the health care at 1177 Care Guide.

HAVE BEEN ABROAD?
The risk of spreading the Corona virus is high according to Folkhälsomyndigheten. But since we gather many people every week, we would like to encourage everyone who has visited areas with extensive infection (Italy, China, Iran or South Korea) to stay home from church for two weeks after returning home and pay attention to any symptoms such as cough, difficulty breathing or fever. We take this action to show consideration to all who visit us. If you have any symptoms, contact 1177. You can also call 113 13 if you have questions about the Corona virus.

HYGIENE IS IMPORTANT!
A common preventive measure against infections is to avoid touching the face or eyes and to avoid close contact with sick people. Wash your hands frequently with soap and water before meals, food handling and after toilet visits. Use hand antiseptic. Coughing and sneezing in the arm fold or in a paper handkerchief prevents infection from spreading and from contaminating hands. If you have a sore throat, stay home until two days after the symptoms subside.

OUR SERVICES & GATHERINGS
Services and regular gatherings during the week are conducted as usual unless otherwise stated. We have instructed all our volunteers and teams to maintain good hand hygiene and to be on the safe side, during upcoming services you will not meet a handshake when you visit the church but instead a big smile and a warm welcome.
Of course, WAO CHURCH is constantly monitoring developments and we are ready to take further action if needed. Services and gatherings are performed as scheduled unless otherwise announced.

ELDERLY & RISK ZONE PERSONS
We encourage you who are older and visitors to WAO Senior to just visit that gathering and otherwise follow the weekends services via WAO play.
If you know that you are at risk, we ask you to use common sense and take responsibility for your own health. Talk to your health care provider if you feel unsure.
Remember that the Word of God tells us that we should not worry, but instead believe in God. Jesus’ name is mighty and he protects your life. Help people around you not to be led by fear. At the same time, we believe in being wise and not subjecting ourselves or our fellow human beings to unnecessary risk or danger, that’s the reason for our caution. God hears our prayers so let’s stand together to end the spread and that more people should not have to suffer.

If you need a prayer can email us at info@waochurch.com
God’s blessing, protection and peace.
See you in the church!
